Learning how to taste a product
With their program, “passion for taste”, Lactalis had an ambitious goal: help each employee go beyond the subjectivity of a simple “I like/I don’t like”. It was about developing a common culture of sensorial analysis, where each taste becomes a precise, rigorous, and professional exercise. Understanding the 5 senses, mastering the evaluation tools, speaking the same language… All key issues to give tasting a strategic role, at the service of the quality and excellence of their products.
But how to establish a pedagogical approach capable of transforming practices durably, and federating the entirety of the employee base around this requirement?
Our proposal
Transforming each tasting into a pedagogical experience: from project management to content creation, our teams took up the challenge with a love of food… and pedagogy.
How?
An interactive e-learning module, available in 8 languages, combining scientific rigor and tasting pleasure. The pedagogical approach stimulates curiosity, engages all the senses and valorises the product culture within the Group.
Our role
- An immerse digital module around sensory analysis, integrated to the “Passion for Taste” program led by Lactalis Group.
- Clear pedagogical objectives: learning to describe dairy products objectively and understanding the role the 5 senses play in a tasting experience
Results
- Module taken by 2800 employees
- Translation and localization in 8 languages
- International recognition through a Brandon Hall Excellence Award in the “Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program”, for its innovative and engaging nature.
